Third anniversary parade of the Uttoxeter Home Guard
The parade took place on the 16th May 1943. Here the soldiers are being inspected in Market Place by Major T.B. Bagshaw, Lieutenant Colonel L.R. Godfrey, and Colonel Thompson.

The only member of the Home Guard to be named in this picture is Edward Wilson, who is sat on the right-hand table smoking a pipe.
The location is given as a bridge on the "Derby By-Pass" (the A50).
