Description:Group of female workers from Lotus participating in a dance and exercise class on the company's sports field on Sandon Road.

They are taking part in a 'Swedish' drill. Lotus, like many other companies, encouraged their employees to participate in sports and social activities.

A Welfare Superintendent was appointed after the First World War and activities included gymnastics, bowling and dramatics.
