Description:'Monument in the Church Yard, at Stone, Staffordshire,' showing two figures on a table tomb surrounded by shields of arms. [Tomb of William Crompton, Esqr., who died 1606 and of Jane, daughter of Sir Walter Aston of Tixall, knight once (1663) in the south aisle of the chancel. It now (2003) lies open to the elements in the churchyard. Artist: J. Buckler.
