Date:27th of January 1771

Description:Showing a letter concerning an earthen ware jar, which had been found c.1747, in the south wall of the church when it was demolished. (See SV IV.187b.i, for engraving of the jar.) Letter written to the `Gentleman's Magazine,' 27th Jan., 1771, by R. Greene.
