Description:Nissen huts at the Second World War Prisoner of War Camp at Two Gates. The first two huts on the left were Recreation Rooms, the third on the left was the Dining Room, and the fourth, the Kitchen. The site also consisted of a main administration block with a Boilerhouse, tower and water tank, which was later made into a Miner's Hostel for Refugees who were trained as Miners. The Refugees were of several nationalities including, Poles, Latvians, Lutuanians, Russians, French and Spanish. The Colliery slag heap behind Dosthill School, and the Harris Hall Power station can be seen in the background.
