Description:This postcard view looks along Overton Lane in Hammerwich; the southern end of Overton Lane is known as the Plateau. Over the years many of the buildings in this scene have hardly changed (August 2020), although most of the garden hedges have been removed. On the top left there is a plaque just below the roof apex of the adjoining houses which reads “Overton 1904 Plateau”. This postcard was published by Lilywhite (1932) Ltd., Sowerby Bridge.
