Description:The disused brassworks at Brookhouses, Cheadle pictured shortly before demolition of the chimney. The brass and copper works were in operation at Spout Farm from about 1725 and had been derelict for some time when demolition took place in 1907. At the time of closure the works had nine smelting houses and six furnaces.
