Description:This postcard view shows the Aerial Cars which were in service from around 1964 to 2017 at Drayton Manor Park and Zoo. On the left there are the Tea Rooms, a Ballroom and Bars, on the right there is a brick building with stone dressings and a Dutch or Flemish style gable, this is thought to be part of the former service buildings of Drayton Manor which stood nearby until it was demolished in the 1920s, except for the Clock Tower which still remains (2022).
In later years the site became known as Drayton Manor Resort, one of the largest amusement parks in the UK with over 100 rides, a 15 acre zoo and accommodation. It is situated in the grounds of the former Drayton Manor, near Tamworth.
