Description:This brass plaque is dedicated to Christopher Rode Esquire, son of Christopher and Mary Rode (who is commemorated nearby). The memorial can be found on the north side of St Mary's, Stafford. The inscription reads: ‘Here lyeth Interred the Body of Christopher Rode Gentleman, son of Christopher Rode of Eaton in the County Palatine of Chester, who died as he had lived in the Faith of Christ in Hope of a Blessed Resurrection and in Charity with all men upon the 29 day of May MDCCXX [1720] Aetat 30.’
