Description:Ornate memorial to Edward and Ursula Burrish, located high on the wall of the south side of St Mary's, Stafford. The inscription reads: ‘In memory of Edward Burrish Esquire, formerly of Droitwich in the County of Worcester who was buried in this Chancel the 12th day of January 1708[?] Also of Ursula his Wife, one of the Daughters and Coheirs of Thomas Lewis of Ludlow in the County of Salop Esquire, who died the 26th day of May 1758[?] Aged 86 Years. By the said Ursula he left issue, three Sons, Onslow who died his Majesty’s Minister at Munich the 23rd[?] day of January, 1758, Aged 60 Years. Edward who died Chief Factor at Wydlow[?] in Africa, and George who died at Droitwich aforesaid the 21st day of June 1770 Aged 68 Years.’
