Description:Another view looking south along Greengate Street in Stafford. In 1992, as part of the pedestrianisation of the town centre the A34 was re-routed around the town. All of the buildings in this scene remain (July 2022) although some have changed use on several occasions. Left to right: John Mottram Jewellers shop, the Bear Inn, centre right: the Swan Hotel, the Ancient High House, McDonald’s fast food restaurant and the Yorkshire Bank.
