Description:The brick and stone bowling green screen has a pair of niches framing an archway behind which there was once a bowling green. The screen was built around 1724 and restored in 1911. The wrought iron gates in the archway are thought to be the work of Robert Bakewell, Ironsmith of Derby. Image copyright Country Life.
