Description:This classical stone bridge stands at the junction of the Pool and the Canal and is named after its designer, James Paine. It was built sometime between 1756 and 1776. The landscape park and pool to the south of Chillington Hall were designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown during the 1760s for Thomas Giffard the elder. Image copyright 'Country Life’ .
