Description:The Municipal Hall was built, between 1888 and 1890, to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It was built in red brick with a facade containing life size figures that represented art, literature, music, and architecture. During its time the Hall contained a Council Chamber, Library, Dance Hall, and School of Art. A sign for the library can just be seen on the side of the wall below the clock tower.
