Description:This key fob belonged to Howard Percy Foxon (1907-1977), who was in charge of the National Benzole Chatterley Depot, Tunstall, for ten years. He worked at the site between 1924 and 1941. Between 1939 and 1941, Howard was Chief Clerk of the Petroleum Board (Potteries district), which was set up to coordinate national fuel supplies at the start of World War 2. He resigned in October 1941 in order to join the Royal Air Force. This image has kindly been contributed by Mr Alan Foxon, Howard's son, who received the key fob as a gift from his father.
