Description:Dorothy Gertrude Haywood (1904-1988) was the daughter of Stafford's Chief Fire Officer, Alfred Ernest Haywood. She is pictured near St Mary's Collegiate Church, Stafford, attending her Aunt Gertrude's wedding. Gertrude was her father's younger sister, and Dorothy is thought to have been given her middle name after her aunt.
