Description:An oil painting by Henry Lark Pratt of Red Lion Square, that shows the close relation between the town and country at the time. The tower of St. Giles' church can be seen in the background. At this time the church would have been that built by in the Georgian style by William Smith, that was completed in 1721. Shufflebottam's can be seen on the left hand side, with Highfield Inn on the right.
