Description:In the grounds of Townsend House, Sedgley, with Winnie Wilkes sitting on a fence. At the time this photograph was taken Townsend House was the home of George Frederick Wilkes (1866-1942) and his wife Alberta Winifred. Winnie, pictured here, is probably their daughter Doris Winifred Wilkes, born 1898. Townsend House was demolished in the 1960s and the site is now occupied by Townsend Avenue and High Park Crescent.
