Description:A view of base of the boiler house chimney stack and one of the sets of winding gear. Baggeridge was sunk in February 1899, mining a coal seam at a depth of 600 feet. A second shaft was sunk in 1910 and the colliery came into full production in 1912. The colliery closed on 1 March 1968.
