Description:A view of the indoor riding school owned by Mr T. Timmis. Mr Timmis owned Standon Bridge Riding School but was keen to find a venue protected from the weather, so opened an indoor school in part of the covered market building on Penkhull Street (now High Street) in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The building was later used as a roller-skating rink known as Rollerdromes Ltd. and as a corporation garage, before being demolished in 1961.

Gerald McCann of High Street, Uttoxeter.
