Description:This foundation key stone relates to the original owners of the building, Horleston Brothers Ltd., also toffee makers. Walkers' toffee business was founded in 1894 by Edward Joseph Walker. His son Edward Victor Walker joined the family business in 1915. The company continues to make a range of toffee products in their Longton factory.
