Description:This postcard view shows eight Police Officers posing for the camera in the garden which was in front of the former Police Station on Cannock Road, Hednesford. Staffordshire Constabulary became established in 1842 as the main police force for the county. The force had several name changes over the years and was initially Staffordshire Constabulary from 1842-1929, Staffordshire County Police from 1929-1967, Staffordshire County and Stoke on Trent Constabulary from 1968-1974 and from 1974 to date (June 2020) Staffordshire Police.
