Description:Leacroft Colliery was opened in 1874. It was merged with Mid-Cannock Colliery in 1954 which in turn closed in 1967. Its location is now under the Poplars landfill site. A published version of this photograph extends further to the right showing more of the buildings. It seems that this version is a re-photographed from an earlier print.
