Date:1937
Description:The cottages were adjacent to East Cannock Colliery near the junction with Lower Road, Hednesford. They are in readiness for their demolition in 1937. The end building was a shop with enamel advertising signs on the frontage including one for Lyons coffee and chicory essence. It is possible these cottages were known as Moss's Row after John Moss, a farmer and earlier landowner. Faint numbering can be seen typed on to the photograph above the roof line 1 to 6 but it is thought that there were nine cottages in the row. It is possible that the colliery chimney stack can be seen behind the middle chimney.
