Description:Adam Hall at Bamber Bridge was Air Force Station 569 and hosted US Army personnel during World War II. Bamber Bridge is perhaps best known for the 'Battle of Bamber Bridge', an outbreak of racial violence and mutiny which took place on 24 June 1943. One man was killed and seven others injured.

This image is from the 'Yarnfield Yank', a booklet published in 1945 to commemorate the presence of US Army personnel at transit camps in Yarnfield, near Stone during World War II.
