Description:Inscription on the gravestone of Richard Vernon (1812-1892), shoe manufacturer, and his daughter Elizabeth (1836-1886) in the graveyard at Christ Church, Stone. It reads: "In Affectionate Remembrance of Elizabeth daughter of Richard and Margaret Vernon of Stone. Died April 27th 1886 aged 50 years. For so he giveth his beloved sleep."
