Description:Inscription on gravestone of Richard Vernon (1812-1892), shoe manufacturer, and his first daughter Elizabeth (1836-1886) in the graveyard at Christ Church, Stone. It reads: "In Loving Memory. Richard Vernon of Melbourne House, Stone who departed this life 30th January 1892 aged 80 years. Gone but not forgotten."
