Date:1922
Description:This enormous tree was a popular local attraction. People often chose to visit the tree for a summer outing. Many of the branches needed supports because of their weight and length. When the branches of this tree were measured in April 1927, a few years before this photograph was taken, they were noted as having a 48 feet spread in all directions. Sadly the tree had declined by the late 1940s and was dead by 1961. Parked to the right is a Trojan motor car. Photographer: Alfred or Gerald McCann of High Street, Uttoxeter. Location unknown
