Description:View of the village war memorial at Colton, dedicated to the local fallen of both world wars.The memorial takes the form of a rough stone Celtic 'wheel' cross, with a downward-pointing sword carved into the cross at the top. At the time the photograph was taken, the memorial was decorated with remembrance poppies and wreaths to commemorate the centenary of the 1918 Armistice that ended World War 1.
