Description:View of the entrance to the secret hiding place or 'priest hole' at Moseley Old Hall, near Featherstone. It was here that Charles II hid from the pursuing Parliamentarians in 1651, purportedly commenting on how comfortable this hiding place was when compared to others he had used during his escape. Moseley Old Hall, now a National Trust property open to visitors, is famous for sheltering Charles II as he fled from the battle of Worcester in 1651.
