Description:Detail showing the fourth inscribed metal plaque on the Anglo-Zulu War Memorial, in the form of an imitation Zulu cow-hide shield. The names of the fallen are inscribed on the imitation insert strips, giving rank on the left and name on the right, starting with senior officers first. This fourth memorial shield plaque lists the men of the 80th (South Staffordshire) Regiment who fell at the Battle of the Ntombe Drift in Zululand (March 12, 1879), the Battle of Isandlwana (January 22, 1879) and the Battle of Ulundi (July 4, 1879).
