Description:Detail showing the fifth inscribed metal plaque on the Anglo-Zulu War Memorial, in the form of an imitation Zulu cow-hide shield. The names of the fallen are inscribed on the imitation insert strips, giving rank on the left and name on the right, starting with senior officers first. This fifth memorial shield plaque lists the men of the 80th (South Staffordshire) Regiment who died on campaign in South Africa 1878-1879 from causes other than death in action, principally disease.
