Description:This postcard view was published by Wood's Ltd., Rugeley., V. & S. Ltd. D.

The Card was posted in Rugeley to an address in Bolton.

Several of the buildings on the left remain (July 2013) although their ground floors have been converted into shops/restaurants.

The thatched cottage in the centre and the cottages on its right were demolished and later replaced by a parade of shops and a cinema.

The lamp post on the left has been replaced by a road traffic island (Globe Island) to cope with the busy road junction.
