Description:The County War Memorial was unveiled on 2 June 1923. This memorial is situated on Victoria Road by the entrance to Victoria Park. It shows a figure standing by a winged horse on top of a pedestal containing the Staffordshire knot and an inscription reading "Non-Nos-Immemores". William Robert Colton sculpted the bronze group and L.S. Merrifield the stone pedestal and lettering.
