Description:A postcard view of Rugeley. The photograph was taken from the St. Augustine's church tower looking south towards Stile Cop on the horizon. At the right is Anson Street: the small timber-framed building was the Oddfellows Hall, since demolished, and the house on the right is 'The Green' built by grocer Abraham Whitworth in 1900. The oak tree planted in 1902 to celebrate the Coronation of Edward VII can be discerned in front of the Oddfellows Hall but the 1907 police station is yet to be built.
