Description:A Valentine and Sons postcard view of Market Place, Cannock. Just to the right of centre can be seen the Benton Memorial Clock inaugurated in 1935. The printed instruction on the reverse indicating a one penny stamp would suffice 'if only the sender's name and address and five words of conventional greeting' used. A 2d stamp would have been required from 1938. The sun blind of Foster's gents outfitters on the corner of Wolverhampton Road
