Description:Longport Station buildings. The North Staffordshire Railway station was opened in 1848. The majority of the stations on the NSR were in a Tudor or Jacobean style. The main line station, such as Longport, were characterised by blue brick diamond patterns in the brickwork. The buildings have Dutch gables. Longport had a level crossing at the south end of the platforms. The station is a grade II listed building.
