Description:Page 33 of 'Drake Hall - A War-Time Hostel', a souvenir book produced for staff and residents at the Swynnerton Royal Ordinance Factory hostel at Drake Hall, produced in 1945. Food production at Drake Hall. The image captions read:

"1. Making sure of a good honey supply.
2. The first cutting of Marrows, an average of 141 lbs. each.
3. Hoeing the Leeks.
4. A few of the girls lend a hand with the bean harvest.
5. A fine crop of Tomatoes, one ton was picked 1944.
6. This pulling produced 4 cwt. of Rhubarb.

The Drake Hall "Dig for Victory" effort has been an outstanding success, the poster reproduced above tells its own
story and the produce grown has been a big factor in maintaining Drake Halls' reputation as being one of the "best fed" hostels in the country."
