Date:1980 - 1985 (c.)

Description:This view from Earl Street, with the former Harris and Son's off-licence on Bath Street corner, was taken by Stafford photographer Tony Boydon.

The large building in the background is the Methodist School Room, which opened in 1843 with funding from the British and Foreign School Society and a wealthy local Methodist. All of these buildings were demolished in the early 1990’s to make way for the construction of the Guildhall Shopping Centre.
