Description:Lotus Shoe shop formed part of the Sheridan Centre which was developed in the 1970s. In later years the centre was partly demolished and given a £5 million redevelopment which officially re-opened in 2003 as Gaolgate Place. The Lotus shop was situated on a corner site in the Sheridan Centre and in this view it looked onto Gaolgate Street in Stafford. Looking at the shop window glass reflection it is possible to see other buildings on the opposite side of the street particularly the MEB (Midlands Electricity Board) showroom. This photograph was taken by Stafford photographer Tony Boydon.
