Description:Taken from Thorn Automation's (formerly L.D.E.P.) Brereton Road factory, this photograph shows the flat roofs of the Personnel, Training, and Accounts building with the Development Laboratories beyond. Note the workman engaged in constructing a pathway into the adjacent field. The otherside of the fenceline was originally a public footpath between the Brereton and Armitage Roads with styles at each end but had been closed by this time. The vehicles behond the buildings are parked in the Bradbury & Brown's garage parking area. The Trent and Mersey canal runs between them and the hedgerow behind. The distant Rugeley 'B' Power Station construction took place between 1970 to 1972.
