Description:Codsall was a small village in 1903 with a population of about 1,450. The population increased only slowly in this period as affluent businessmen and professionals moved in from Wolverhampton. The newcomers built large villas in Codsall’s convenient rural setting, and streets of bungalows were laid out between Oaken Lanes and Histons Hill in the 1930s.
