Description:Hednesford No. 1 signal box in situ adjacent to Hednesford Station prior to its move to Hednesford Park. The move was due to a major upgrade and electrification project for the Chase Line. It was reported in the Express and Star Newspaper that £30,000 had been raised towards restoring the 19th century signal box to its former glory and it was hoped it might be used as a classroom for educational purposes.
