Description:View of the ruined windmill at Essington. Originally built in 1681 by Henry Vernon, it was rebuilt with a brick roundhouse in the late 18th century. It worked with four common sails and two pairs of stones until the 1880s. It deteriorated badly during the Second World War. Most of the timber superstructure has since gone.
