Description:The Borough of Stafford conferred the Freedom of Entry into the Borough to RAF Stafford (16 MU) on 16 December 1954. A civic party are seen arriving in the Market Square, where the honour was then celebrated by a March Past the Mayor by the RAF Central Band, 600 airmen and airwomen, followed by a civic reception, at which the Secretary of State for Air was present. The building in the background is the Shire Hall.
