Description:Children of Lower Burnthill Lane are pictured celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in Hagley Park. All children attending the party in fancy dress received a small silver plated cup and a certificate. The cups were engraved with each child’s name around the base and many of the children can be seen holding them in this photograph.

Amongst those in this photograph are: left back row Elsie Harvey, centre are sisters Jackie and Patricia Hill, also centre is Pat Hodson (wearing a pointed hat). On the extreme right is Paddy Warner (in a cowboy outfit).

The Rugeley Times reported that there were two fancy dress parades and Mr and Mrs Richards of Hednesford were the judges, prizes were as follows: Up to Eight years of age: 1. L M Hancocks (Drake), 2. Jennifer Hancocks (Hip Hip Hooray), 3. Rosemarie Millett (Red Cross). Eight to Fifteen years: 1. David Eaton (Mount Everest Climber), 2. Hazel Gregory (Britannia), 3. Bobby Bull (Minstrel).
