Description:The Memorial and its base have been delivered to the new site in Brook Square. A copy of this photograph was published in The Rugeley Times on 2 December 1972.

Brook Square is located between Upper Brook Street, Lower Brook Street and Brewery Street. The Square formed part of the area in Rugeley Town Centre which was due to become a traffic-free zone.

The buildings in the background include: on the left Frisby’s shoe shop and on the right Lipton’s supermarket.
