Description:This interesting building is at the junction of High Street and Sarver Lane. The protective stones set in the ground at the corners of the building may indicate that this may have been built as a toll house. In 1901 the building was a police house occupied by Police Constable Harry Adams living with his family. PC Adams some time later was moved to Norton Canes where on 12th December, 1914, he was found unconscious in a lane there, he later died from his injuries.
