Description:Transistor radio, Grundig 'Clock Boy 100'. Black plastic covering with white metal aerial attached. Tuning and volume on top. Clock and frequency display on front. In original box with instructions. Purchased at the NAAFI in Port Stanley and was used to listen to BBC World Service. Donor remembers hearing about the death of Princess Grace Kelly and the Christmas Carol Service from Kings College Chapel. She says "everyone bought one".
Belonged to Captain Margaret Barclay of the Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps, who served in the Falklands War in 1982. From Eccleshall in Staffordshire, she served as army Theatre Sister in Port Stanley for six months during the Falklands Conflict.
