Date:August 1927

Description:Royalist troops during the fall of Eccleshall Castle in 1643. The castle was badly damaged whilst under siege by Parliamentarian forces in the Civil War.

Eccleshall Pageant was organised to raise funds for the rebuilding of the school, and to portray the history of the town. The pageant took place over four days (3 - 6 August) in the grounds of Johnson Hall.
